Chocolate Orange Truffles

  • 10 soft, pitted dates
  • 1 orange (We want 2 TBSP of orange juice and zest of the whole orange)
  • 1 TBSP coconut oil
  • 3 TBSP raw cacao powder Pro TIP: Carob powder also tastes great if you are looking for an AIP dessert.
  • 2 TBSP of "dust" This could be more cacao or carob powder, hemp seeds, shredded coconut flakes etc.


  1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor until smooth, scraping the sides with a spatula when needed.

  2. Use a 1/2 TBSP to scoop out mixture and use your hands to roll into a ball.

  3. Roll balls in dusting of your choice until completely covered.

  4. Store in fridge for up to a week or freezer for 3 months.
